Can Someone Who Did Well on Dat Do Well on Mcat

I've written the MCAT & canadian DAT non besides far autonomously. I wrote the MCAT in late August, and DAT in November this yr, and I am happy pitch in.

They are quite unlike exams actually - I would say MCAT, there's definitely more APPLYING of knowledge in Chem/Phys/Bio sections whereas DAT involves more rote memorization. I besides found it odd that DAT bio seemed a fiddling skewed in terms of their coverage of topics; exist sure to read upwardly on ecology/development for DAT, as those are the topics y'all likely won't have covered for MCAT.

For CARS/reading comprehension, MCAT passages are much denser and questions require more than inference than DAT. DAT passages are besides much easier to read through, especially if yous come from a scientific discipline background, and were By and large pulling from the passages. Personally, I prepped quite a flake for MCAT CARS and unfortunately just ended up with 127, whereas for DAT, I did absolutely zero preparation and ended up with 25 for RCT. Then, you can see how these two evaluate dissimilar skill sets. I call back as long every bit you improve your reading speed through CARS prep, I honestly don't think you will need to practise actress work for DAT RCT.

PAT - I think you lot do demand the time and practice for this section. Peradventure consider doing some PAT practice aslope your MCAT prep from now :)

Promise this is of some help - All-time of luck on your exams!
